American Income Life - I wanted dental insurance for husband. Got life insurance with higher fee...

Tried to get dental insurance. Was told that with a bundle of accident insurance I would get dental.

Told agent to get lowest cost possible for dental. Was quoted $48. Gave company bank info. $76 was taken from checking.

Called company directly and was told they were Life Insurance company.

Got a different mailing every week or less for 3 months. One time was a welcome letter, next a cancellation letter and that they would send me to collections, then a welcome, then a pending cancellation I wrote them a letter to cancel when I received my policies, now they sent a form to make out asking for same info I had in letter.

American Income Life - Life Insurance Review

My mother (a 78 yr old) was looking to purchase life insurance. We had a agent to come over and explain the difference between whole life and term life.

So, we decided the whole life is what we were looking for, for my mom. I told the agent i wanted to be able to ship my mothers remains back to where her husband was burried and pay for services. The agent numerous times explained to us we were purchasing whole life insurance, and in the event of my mothers passing, it would pay out the amount we purchased. Well come to find out after calling to inquire about a mistake made on the agents part.

My mother did not have whole life insurance in the amount we purchased, but an accidental policy for 10,000 and a gradual policy that would pay 2,500 in the event she pass. Now this gradual policy increases of a certain period of time. We NEVER asked for either policy. I had never heard of such policy, and if the agent had explained that to us we would have never agreed to this.

If my mother(God forbid) pass today that policy AIL gave us would not be enough to bury my mom. This company took $173 from my mother, who's on a fixed income, and and lied to her. I also, purchased a mortgage protection policy from them, and once again was lied to. So, we're out of the money we spent.

Andy mothet does not have the policy she asked for.

No one i talked was remorseful, and offered to refund out money. THIS COMPANY IS A RIPP OFF!

Our family including our young children are receiving messages from a Doug Blair, alias junior Blair. He is out of your Sam Antonio office according to the website.

We reported it to the company website and one of the secretaries there is not helping us.

We can take a joke, but the contact is a bit too much for our family. Who contacts the kids????

I worked for them only for like two weeks slod 3 policies and didn't got paid any commission for them. Now the company wants me to pay back commissions that I was never paid, the agency kept any commissions after I left. Why I have to pay if I worked those 2 weeks basically for free, ask the owners of the agency to pay for it they kept the check. They want 800 dollars back, what about my wasted time working for free.

Your review is *** and your niece is a crook and so are you. Your company waste people's time who are looking for work and you snakes come in to try and mislead those who are already in a bad position.

AIL trains you to seek your own mother, in exchange for a referral; plus the money you have to fork out before you even start being on your own. Typical bait and switch for the ignorant and good for those who can lie their way out of a paper bag.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My husband and me started a policy last year june.every month 73.67was taken from our account. due to financial problems we decided to cancel our policy.

we tried to call AIL's main office.we didn't get a proper response. so we called the local agent on may first week. told him to cancel our policy. he said we are not going to get any refund, but he wll do the need full to cancel the policy.

as the payment was taken from our account 15th of every month, we reminded the agent 3 times please make arrangement not to take any more payment from our account. He promised that it wont happen. But on the 16th pf may 73.67 was taken from our account.

tried to call, email the agent no response. we lost almost 800 dollars plus another $73.67

Shady and Unethical

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Shady, deceptive, and misleading. I was spammed by a recruiter and let her know that I am only interested in recruiting positions and not the least bit interested in sales.

She scheduled an interview for me leaving me with the impression that I would be interviewing for a recruiting position. They do not give the full name of the company, just AIL. I went in for the "interview" and was asked what I least like to do. My answer was sales.

They still proceeded to lead me into a room full of about 30 other applicants. The entire thing was a pitch for sales people to join their company. Needless to say, I was livid and walked out. They tout their core values as being Honesty, Integrity, and Trust, none of which I witnessed through this unethical and misleading process.

It is bad enough to sham people into believing they are getting a 1 on 1 interview, then pull this, but to pull a stunt like this on a fellow recruiter??? Shame on you!!! This kind of unethical recruiting is why HONEST, hard working recruiters get a bad rap. When I sent her a text, thanking her for wasting my time, instead of an apology, I received insults.

I wish I could screen shot the conversation here. Do not waste your time with these people!

They do not tell you that if you are on medicaid that none of your accidental claims will be paid to you.. 150$ a month and cant even utilize the benifits you pay for unless you die.

In which case who knows if they wont just cut medicaid your check for that too. Third party liability..

Omg!!! Today, april 18th 2016.

3 calls back to back, AIL telling me they need to go over our policies and see if we have any questions. I told him we had no questions and our policies are fine. I told them that we will not keep adding to our policies. We pay over 300 dollars a month and it seems its not enough to them.

Every year its always something else. The first call he wanted to come over around 9pm at night and told him no, due to my husband and daughter going to bed at 8pm. He wanted to come over this weekend, there again i told him no. I told him again i had no questions.

Second call, same guy asked to come over tomorrow around 9pm. Now im pissed. I told him"i told you no because my husband works and needs to go to bed early." He called the third time and wanted to come over fri or sat. This man knew i just had surgery a week ago, and couldnt wait at least a couple weeks to speak to us.

This company doesnt care about the needs of the customer, as long as they are getting more money from us,that is all that matters. It was proven today.

Watch Your Account...They will take payments after Cancellation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My Boyfriend signed us up for this plan and after him and I talked about it more it was a VERY high priced life insurance considering our ages and what our companies offer. The rep.

told my boyfriend the payment would come out on April 1st. I called on March 24th to cancel our policy...Thank God I watch my account because they took out the payment on 3/25 Not only sooner then the Rep told us but also After I cancelled.

This company has given me no good vibes and I guess my gut was right! I also have never paid for an insurance policy before the approval has been made...

No communitcation!!!!

I was recently computer hacked. We had to change all credit card, debit cards, and bank accounts.

The day that we had to do this, is the day that our automatic payment was supposed to come out of our account. We looked at our policy that we have been paying on for quite some time and found that there is no policy number anywhere on our paperwork. We tried to call our agent, no answer, nor a voicemail option. Called the numbers in our area, left messages, no return calls.

This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! We will be dropped, if not already, and there is nothing we can do!!! We can't even find a policy number in our paperwork!!! Did we just get scammed?

What kind of a business are you?

Did not delivery policies purchases.

In December 2015, I was referred to American Income Life Insurance AIL, by a long time friend. I purchase 8 grand children and 1 adult policy, however, I have current insurance on them already.

January and February 2016, comes and no polices. The money for premiums were being withdrawn from my bank account. I called the agent, which he stated, "he has not received the policies from the company. I called AIL and the rep said, "they sent them to the agent.

I requested, they locate the policies. Again, AIL and agent affirms to me I will receive them in 7-10 days. I received copies; some of the pages were loose, out of order, and I put them back together, sent them back, and canceled the policies. A few days later, I received lost certificate policies in the mail.

I could not believe a major insurance company would operate business like this. I sent emails to AIL, and was told my 10 days has passed, and I can not received a refund. I am suggesting to anyone who are in a market for insurance, please do your homework first. Research this company complaints, ratings, and I just searched, its not listed with BBB.

Good luck to all and it you purchased insurance from this company, I hope your experience was better than mine. God bless.
